Shortshanks

Butch and I were watching the epic thriller “Braveheart” starring Mel Gibson last night. Butch does like a good movie but he gets very caught up in the excitement. He painted his face blue and announced that he wanted to be king of England and wanted me to officially change his name immediately to “Shortshanks!” Butch said that the king’s name in the movie, and historically is “Longshanks.” He also said that King Edward I was known as Longshanks because he was 6′2″ while average men in the 1200’s were just 5′7″. See you not only get good dog information here but a history lesson also! I knew Boston terriers were smart but never expected this! Just thought you should know…
