Well, on Sunday July 13th Butch turned four years old (that’s 28 to you and me). We celebrated a nice bright sunny day, a trip to the pet store and the lake, as well as a nice juicy steak for dinner. Yes, Butch had his own sirloin steak for his birthday dinner. Although he eats well the rest of the year, he just seems to like that steak on his birthday. Cooked rare naturally! I figure, he gets toys and other stuff throughout the year and he always likes a new one, but for his birthday, I thought he should have something he doesn’t always get … his own steak! I can’t believe how fast the last 4 years have gone by. I hope we have many more together. Happy birthday little buddy!
Also, our book “My Buddy Butch – Confessions of a New Dog Dad” has won honorable mention at the New York Book Festival! With the literally hundreds of entrants we were honored to be chosen with such an elite crowd of writers. The book is picking up steam heading toward the September 5th release date and manufacturing for the initial run begins this month. Butch and I celebrated with a toast. He then enjoyed a sparkling water on the veranda pondering the silent freeway … He is very cosmopolitan. I had a draft!
