Butch was born on July 13th, 2004 so my little buddy turned 5 years old yesterday. I can’t believe where the time went. It’s true, time flies when you watch your kids grow. Since I have no human kids, I guess this is just another learning experience of being a dog dad! It’s times like these that make me sit back and think about all of the things that Butch and I have done together. It also makes me think about how much time I spend with him, which on some days, is not quite enough! Being busy with the radio show, book signings, and other projects cuts into our time together way too much. So I thought I would indulge Butch with two of his favorite things: the big ball and the sprinkler, on his birthday!

Butch loves to run through the sprinkler also at the amazement of the people in cars passing by. They always stop to watch him take a full facial blast of water over and over and over… I have video of this so I’ll put it up when I have a chance!
He's punctured it!
35 dog years! Wow, he doesn’t drink or smoke or do anything that most people have by the time they are that age! He’s a lot faster than I was at that age also!
I hope we have many more hot summer days! So does Butch!
