Show #50 – Part 2 with Best Selling Author Sharon Sakson – We discuss the Michael Vick issue – Dr. Donna Spector on Pet Nutrition!

Well, Tornado sirens, Joe getting stuck on the other side of the storm front and flickering power marked our 50th Show! Thanks to Sharon Sakson for hanging in there with me for the entire show and Dr. Donna joining us! I didn’t realize until later that the tornado formed less than a mile from the studio until after the broadcast!

Sharon Sakson joined us for Part 2 of our discussion on her book Paws & Effect: The Healing Power of Dogs but this time the nasty storms rolling through our area caused the Tornado alarms to go off locally! I think htat no matter when Sharon joins us something exciting will happen!  I’m am currently reading this book and loving every page. From a spiritual standpoint as well as a bonding standpoint Sharon delves into the attachment we all have with our dogs and takes it one step further as she explains where “service dogs” came from and also the real patron saint of dogs! Each chapter I read I learn something new! I will be reviewing this book as I think it is a must read for all dog lovers! It is OUTSTANDING and Sharon has set the bar for aspiring writers like myself with this moving “tale!” Sharon has other books that I will definitely be picking up and she is also working on some new material!

After many emails asking my opinion on the Michael Vick issue, and last week’s interview on 60 minutes interview on CBS that he did, we discuss the topic on this week’s show. Listen in to the opinions and discussion and lend you comments if you wish! We will be exploring this issue as it progresses with more interviews and discussion.

There are different things to consider whether you are cooking for your pet once or twice a week or if you plan on feeding your pet fresh meals every single day. It is a good idea to know how to feed your pet fresh meals just in case we run into another pet food recall or even if you can’t make it to the store and run out of food temporarily. Being single (and half Italian) I learned to cook many different things some of which are just not appropriate for Butch to eat. So I take heed at the advice and knowledge that Dr. Donna gives us about this topic.
