Edward Grinnan Editor-in-Chief and VP of Guideposts (with Millie!)
Guideposts Magazine has been around longer than I have been alive and is an American Staple. I can remember seeing Guideposts sitting on the counter while growing up or on a table at my grandparents house! It was an honor to speak with Edward Grinnan about the magazine and how the millions of subscribers feel about their pets. As they take prayer requests and have “True Stories of Hope and Inspiration,” Edward talks about how many people write in requesting prayers for their pets! Guideposts answered the call in great fashion with their “Prayers For Pets” section on Guideposts.com. Edward also shares with us how his wife’s dog Rudy actually introduced them for the very first time before they were married! It was a pleasure to talk with Edward because the work they are doing at Guideposts is truly blessed! Â

RESCUE SHELTER OF THE WEEKÂ
Geauga Humane Society Rescue Village in Ohio
Hope Brustein joined us from the Geauga Humane Society in Ohio. Now since this is a “Humane Society” they recue all different types of abused and homeless animals, rahabilitate and care for them until they can find them a forever home. Dogs, cats, ducks, pigs, and donkeys can be found at this terrific facility along with a large network of workers and volunteers who care deeply about saving these animals and see to it that they get a chance to live a happy, healthy life. Listen in as Hope tells us more about the wrok they are doing and how you can adopt!

Vet to the Stars!
We are heading into the winter months now and it is starting to get COLD much sooner than usual here in Ohio. We have had a few fires in the area that have left some pets seriously injured from burns and smoke inhalation. It is very improtant to remember fire safety now and with all of the wild fires in California Dr. Patrick is no stranger to seeing pets in agony because of fire. We discuss safety issues and also some of the effects you and your pet can suffer from when trapped in a fire. PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!!!
With all of the talk about the “Swine Flu” or the “H1N1 Virus” Dr. Patrick also offered information on if this will affect your pets. Check out his article here!
