Annette Fisher of Happy Trails Farm in Ravenna Ohio helps farm animals of all types that have been removed from abuse or neglect situations all over the country. They have adopted out animals as far away as California and network with many other farm rescues across the country. From Sheep, Goats, Pot Belly pigs, to Cows and Horses they are doing a very difficult job and making it look easy. Housing, feeding, and caring for these animals is a daily concern and we can help! They have programs that you can join to help, you can even adopt if you have the room so check them out! Also, they are getting ready for a big 10th anniversary celebration so check out the web site and maybe take a road trip and take the kids to see the animals!

CALIFORNIA PONDERING ‘ANIMAL ABUSERS REGISTRY’ – As reported in an article by Alison Stateman in LA on Time’s blog, California State representative Dean Flores introduced this bill in late February but during a time where not only the State has financial trouble but pet owners are also struggling, can it pass when it needs to be funded by tax dollars? Great idea for the registry…let’s watch this one!
