Jeff is joined by Renaissance man and author Reese Palley, to talk about his new book “THE ANSWER: Why Only Inherently Safe Mini Nuclear Power Plants Can Save Our World,” he argues that the consumption of fossil fuels is unsustainable and current attempts to restrict carbon dioxide (CO2) production do not go far enough to preserve our way of life. Well get ready for National Pit Bull Awareness Day coming up next week Micaela Myers of Stubbydog.org joins Jeff for the Rescue of the Week Segment and talks about this 5th annual event that helps dispel some of the bad myths about this breed and encourages people to visit a local shelter or rescue and hug a pit-bull.
Hour2: Ron Phillips is the Vice President of Legislative and Public Affairs for the Animal Health Institute and he joins Jeff to talk about what it is they do and what they are doing to insure that animals of all kinds are healthy and stay healthy! They have many programs that most people do not even know about that they are monitoring every day to make sure that the medications being used on our pets and feed animals is safe and what the government is doing to regulate the industry. Dr. Kim Bloomer of the American Council of Animal Naturopathy joins Jeff to talk about her new Great Dane Puppy “Meshack” and the new things that she had to buy to get ready for this new LARGE bundle of joy. Having lost their Neo Mastiff “Shadrack” last Spring, Dr. Kim and her husband already had a HUGE breed dog and know how to take care of one and what to expect. If you are not a large breed dog person you better know what you are getting into before you get one for your home! She shares some wisdom for having a large breed dog and these are the biggest!
