There are many things to consider and questions need to be asked just like you are looking for a good doctor for yourself! Jeff catches up with Dr. Patrick Mahaney of California Pet Acupuncture and Wellness to talk about a few of the Star studded events that he has attended and for the Vet Topic of the week – Toxic plants. This time of year with people bringing plants as gifts it helps to know which ones are harmful to what pets…a topic we have covered but a good reminder especially this Christmas weekend. News and announcements…did you know the Myan Calander ends on December 21st 2012? I’m sure you have heard about it we are starting a count down and we have less than 365 days now. New “Earthlike” planet discovered? Also a cat that tears it’s hair out…why?
Hour 2 – Dr. Fran Walfish, a Child and Family therapist and regular contributor to the My Buddy Butch Show as well as the author of the book “The Self Aware Parent” joins Jeff to talk a bit about the Holiday hustle and Bustle and how it can be a hard time for some people. She discusses “expectations” and how the post holiday season can also be difficult for those who may feel lonely or disappointed. She gives great tips on how to beat the holiday and winter time “blues” that will leave you and those you meet feeling much better! Denise Fleck of Sunnydogink.com and president of the Burbank Animal Shelter stops in to talk about what they have been up to and also a quick word on not forgetting your pet’s daily routine just because it’s the holiday! New and Announcements – A dog that was literally brought back to life after a 20 minute ordeal and Veterinary students manning the Pet Grief hot line.
